Abstract. Considerable volumes of transport construction are realised in the absence of a construction industry developed base, where delivery and use of high-strength crushed stone for critical structures is a difficult problem in areas with underdeveloped transport infrastructure. This problem is especially relevant for the regions of Siberia and the Far North of our country. In this connection, the use of local raw materials is an important and urgent problem for the construction of solid concrete and reinforced concrete structures is an important and urgent problem. The use of self-compacting fine-grained concrete, considered in this paper, has a wide range of applications. The most effective areas of self-compacting fine-grained concrete application can be the performance of works in especially difficult conditions, when the use of coarse aggregate and the use of vibratory compaction is difficult or impossible. Also, in cases of concrete casting reinforcement frames with small reinforcement spacing in special purpose solid structures, fine-grained concrete with self-compacting concrete offers a number of advantages. However, the use of fine-grained concrete using off-quality silica sands has disadvantages, which include increased cement consumption, increased porosity, low crack resistance and increased deformability, which requires compensation by increased reinforcement consumption. The use of fine-grained concrete with the use of self-compacting mixtures and compensated shrinkage in the transport structures construction can be a solution in limited availability conditions of high-strength, high-quality aggregates, which allows to reduce costs and terms of works, to provide the required strength and durability of concrete, as well as operational reliability of structures.
