Abstract. The durability of wooden bridges and elements made of antiseptic glued wood has been proven by world practice and averages 50 years. Thus, it opens up the possibility for the development and implementation of bridge structures of superstructures based on glued wood in collaboration with other materials while ensuring a given durability. The theoretical research and development carried out by the authors in this area, as well as the level of development of glued wood production in the transport construction industry, do not allow us to expect their introduction into production at the present time. As you know, air-dry wood at a humidity of 12 % and below is not susceptible to rot and requires shelter to protect it from moisture and rain. The roof can serve as a shelter for the supporting structures of the bridge, including for wooden superstructures. There is, for example, a still-preserved pedestrian bridge under a roof over a gorge in Saxony, whose age is more than 500 years. At the same time, the reinforced concrete roadway of the bridge with all its attributes can be the most effective means of protecting glued beams from rotting. The most promising composite superstructures in modern conditions are reinforced concrete wooden superstructures based on the joint work of glued beams and reinforced concrete slabs of the roadway. The experience of building, maintaining and operating such facilities in our country and abroad is proof of this. At the same time, the joint work of the reinforced concrete roadway can be ensured in superstructures with composite girders made of logs (beams), with plank-paving-stone-nail trusses. This article is devoted to the study of the operation of these superstructures using examples of bridges built and operated in the Omsk region.
