The generalized statement of problem on forecasting and optimal designing operational life of corrosive structures with account of fuzzy environmental effects

Abstract. The article discusses the approach to building the model of the corrosive structural elements (such as pipeline transport) with fuzzy information about the impact of environment. In the advanced industries the mechanical systems operating under the aggressive environmental influences, in particular the systems of pipeline transport, have received the extensive use. In order to determine the time for the planned repair of these systems, it is necessary to take into account the working conditions of the given object. Thus, the question arises as to creating a system that takes into account all environmental effects, as well as permitting to evaluate the state of corroding construction at this time. Generally, in solving a problem of the operational life evaluation for the corrosive structure elements two approaches are used: deterministic and probabilistic ones. However, the solution of problem in these circumstances has more theoretical than practical meaning, since the information on the environment parameters may be unknown. The author proposes the use of fuzzy sets to describe the environment parameters and step-by-step building the system of model under consideration. Through fuzzy logic the resulting system of information processing allows one more accurately to take into account and process input information on the work of object at any time with consideration of the processes occurring in it.
