Abstract. The problem of prediction of durability of protective coatings on steel structures for bridges is considered. Proposed two groups of models of loss of efficiency coatings: because of discontinuity of the coating and as a result of a limit stress in the coatings. The basic relationship of models are considered, held their identification.
