In accordance with the Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation up to 2030 with a forecast for the period up to 2035, the key development priorities are increasing the spatial connectivity of territories, increasing the volume and speed of transit cargo, as well as the digital and low-carbon transformation of the industry. In the context of implementing these objectives, the development of the Eastern range of railways, the Baikal-Amur Mainline, and the Trans-Siberian Railway, a significant portion of which passes through challenging engineering and geological conditions, becomes particularly important.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This article examines the analysis of the rockfill (stone blanket) technology as an effective structural and technological solution from the perspective of thermal stabilization, its types, as well as its influence on physical-mechanical and thermal stabilization processes when used in permafrost regions (using the example of a section of the Far Eastern Railway). To demonstrate the effectiveness of rockfill (in terms of stability, resistance to subgrade deformations occurring both due to permanent and temporary loads, as well as due to the temperature dynamics inside and outside the subgrade), a section of the Far Eastern Railway \u2014 \u00abOkurdan Crossing\u00bb \u2014 was selected. The article presents the results of calculations of digital models of the railway embankment at Okurdan Crossing, performed using the \u00abFrost 3D\u00bb software package (calculating the long-term effectiveness of thermal stabilization of the subgrade body).
