The main purpose of the study is to assess the impact of transit traffic on the layers of pavement during its construction (repair) on the operational quality of the road surface. An analysis of the volume of road construction has been performed from the perspective of compliance with warranty and inter-repair deadlines for work. The main technological and organizational features of the construction (reconstruction) and repair of road surfaces with the organization of traffic passage along the lanes are considered. The theoretical and practical aspects of the development of defects in highways, which arise mainly from the effects of transport load, are considered. An assessment of the life of the design load perception and the effect of structural overload on its strength and evenness has been performed. The problem of assessing the operability of road structures from the perspective of the development of residual deformations in the structural layers during the perception of static transport load has been solved numerically. Numerical modeling of changes in the stress-strain state of the pavement under normal and stage loading has been performed for the characteristic construction of the pavement used in the region under consideration.
