The development of these vast and rich territories is a long-term strategic task on a national scale, ensuring economic development and geopolitical stability. However, the current climate changes are leading to the active degradation of permafrost soils, which poses serious risks to infrastructure built with their bearing capacity in the frozen state. Residential and industrial buildings, transportation routes, pipelines, and other facilities that were initially stable are now under threat due to subsidence, warming, and thawing of the foundation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Under these conditions, continuous geotechnical monitoring of the condition of foundations and soils is becoming not just an important, but a critically necessary practice. Its task is to timely record dangerous deformations, temperature changes, fluctuations in the groundwater level and other parameters that signal the risk of an emergency.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The article discusses the problem of decision-making during geotechnical monitoring. The primary task is to be able to correctly interpret the information received, predict the development of negative processes, and, most importantly, know which technological and engineering solutions need to be applied at each specific moment to prevent an emergency. Effective monitoring should not be passive surveillance, but an active decision support system integrated into the facility&#8217;s operation management cycle.
