The foundations of state policy and the development strategy of this territory have been approved due to its colossal importance as a strategic resource base of our country. The Arctic zone is characterized by harsh climatic conditions, as well as the widespread distribution of permafrost soils, which determines the specifics of the design of engineering structures. The dynamic development of the state largely depends on the availability of transport infrastructure, including a network of high-quality roads. This determines the relevance and practical significance of the development and implementation of new design and technological solutions for the construction, repair and reconstruction of the road network. The article discusses a constructive solution using geosynthetic materials and seasonal cooling devices to stabilize cyclic deformations of the base, subgrade and pavement of a highway on permafrost. The specificity of the problem is the base, which is heterogeneous in cross section, represented by plastically frozen icy peat and plastically frozen sandy loam on one side of the longitudinal axis of the road structure and water-saturated sand of fine and medium size on the other. In the immediate vicinity of the roadbed embankment, long-standing surface waters are observed, melting the plastically frozen base soil. The results of calculations of the stability of the road structure in the Plaxis software package are presented, as well as the forecast of temperature fields at the base of the soil mass in Termoground.
