Actuality of the issue under study is confirmed both by the statistical data of the State Road Traffic Safety Inspectorate and by a significant list of scientific works dealing with issues of the water and heat balance of the soil mass. Within a framework of the article the author considers both the roads located within the city and suburban road sections.<br \/>\nThe work shows the influence of temperature and humidity on the process of straight-freezing and directly on the integrity of the road surface.
