Kuznetsova, e-mail: kuznetsova.dr@miptek.ru<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Abstract.<\/strong> The article presents the results of geotechnical monitoring of the condition of the non-public railway line \u00abObskaya \u2014 Bovanenkovo \u2014 Karskaya\u00bb, constructed using advanced principles for building foundations on permafrost soils. Continuous monitoring of the earthwork structure recorded changes in the geometric parameters of the main platform, embankment body, and permafrost foundation, linked to shifts in the temperature and moisture regime of the foundation soils during operation. The earthwork structure, as a critically important supporting element of the railway, undergoes transformations caused by changes in bearing capacity under the influence of various factors, including the emergence of standing surface waters. The research focuses on determining the impact of climatic and hydrological conditions on the stability of railway infrastructure in permafrost environments, which is crucial for ensuring the reliability and operational safety of this engineering structure in extreme climatic and permafrost conditions. Thus, the article enhances the understanding of challenges related to the stability of transport infrastructure in the Arctic zone, using the non-public railway line as a case study, and presents methodologies aimed at overcoming these challenges.
