Kopylov, e-mail: kopylovsergey@inbox.ru<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Abstract.<\/strong> The authors present an article reflecting the current direction of digitalization of roads and traffic flow. Currently, the intensive growth of the number of vehicles directly affects road congestion. Additionally, the complex natural and climatic conditions of the region dictate their own rules. Ice crossings and winter roads are crucial elements of transport connectivity, which necessitates the analysis of traffic flow on ice crossings and winter roads for planning and decision-making.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The work was divided into stages: developing software for recognizing and analyzing traffic flow; conducting experimental research on the software in real conditions. Currently, there are several methods for analyzing traffic flow that can be applied to study vehicle movement on public roads. The article discusses how computer vision and image processing algorithms have made it possible to automate the processes of counting traffic intensity and analyzing traffic flow on roads. The authors have developed software that uses object recognition and image processing algorithms to determine the speed, types, and number of vehicles, their direction, movement patterns, and other characteristics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the research, computer vision was used on the ice road winter routes \u00abYakutsk \u2014 Nizhny Bestyakh\u00bb and \u00abKhatassy \u2014 Nizhny Bestyakh\u00bb to analyze and compare traffic flow.
