Abstract. The article proposes a methodology for building a nonlinear deformation model of the reinforced concrete bridge roadway slab with a pavement on it, operating under conditions of dry and hot climate, typical for the Republic of Uzbekistan. Using this technique, a differential equation describing the bending of the roadway slab with multilayer pavement subjected to the joint action of load and thermal field is obtained. The change in the properties of the pavement materials due to temperature is taken into account. Two possible situations are investigated: unsteady conductive heat transfer and steady-state conductive heat transfer of a four-layer structure including a reinforced concrete roadway slab and a three-layer pavement on it. Using the available experimental data, pavement layers model identification at different temperature levels is also performed. The obtained nonlinear differential equations make it possible to study the behaviour of a bridge roadway reinforced concrete slab with a multilayer pavement on it under the joint action of stationary load and temperature, and to determine the stress-strain state of each layer taking into account the nonlinear and unequal work of the materials of the layers in tension and compression. Henceforth, it is of interest to build and use models based on the deformation approach, taking into account the joint effect of load, temperature and aggressive environment, leading to the appearance induced nonhomogeneity as well as induced anisotropy of the materials properties that make up the roadway of the bridge structure, as well as models that take into account the dynamic impact of the load on the bridge. Also of interest is the use of the concept of ecologically rational bridge structures design, as applied to the design of the bridges roadway.
